Abstract
The model experiments of a 25000 dwt full type multi-purpose cargo ship form optimization and energy saving device are introduced.The optimization design of the ship lines and bulbous bows are carried out in the towing tank of SSSRI.The experiment results of ship model resistance,self-propulsion and wake survey are given.The effects of ship form variations on powering performance are analyzed,also the effectiveness of fitted flow straightening nozzle and rudder ball is introduced.The ship is excellent,which has advanced index of powering performance,and is a economic efficient ship.The real ship is under construction now.
