Abstract
One of the main goals of college English teaching is to cultivate students' cross-cultural communicative competence.To achieve this goal,students are required to enlarge their cultural knowledge and improve their cultural awareness.According to the current state of college English teaching practice,this paper illustrates various Sino-Western cultural differences in the aspects of vocabulary,sentence structure as well as pragmatics,and discusses the teaching principles and methods of enhancing students' cultural awareness.
