The Cultural Teaching in College EnglishTeaching and the Corresponding Countermeasures

Cultural teaching refers to the teaching of cultural knowledge related to people's interactions or foreign languages teaching.In this paper, the author discusses the necessity of cultural teaching on the basis of the relationship among language, culture and foreign language teaching as well as the new College English Curriculum Requirements, elaborates the principles, the contents and the approaches of cultural teaching in college English teaching by referring to Krashen's Input Hypothesis and the goals of cultural teaching.
