On Cultural Objectives in College English Teaching

There has been a problem of stressing knowledge and ignoring ability in college English teaching for a long time.The guiding policy focuses on teacher-centered,students are educated not in a proactive way.The loss of cultural objectives in English teaching warned us of present English teaching.The paper puts out cultural contents that should be implanted in college English teaching,and discusses several ways of integrating college English teaching and cultural education,which will play an important part in growing students' cross-cultural communicative ability.
