Abstract
Objective To evaluate the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine combined with western therapy in treatment of patients with severe acute pancreatitis. Methods The 113 patients with severe acute pancreatitis were divided into treatment group and control group. Based on the conventional therapy, Chinese medicine(Qingyichengqi Soup) was additionally given to 63 patients with severe acute pancreatitis. Serum amylase, lipase, lactic acid, urea nitrogen, and creatinine were detected before and after treatment. The clinical efficacy and symptoms in two groups were compared. Results The parameters of serum amylase, lipase, lactic acid, urea nitrogen, creatinine after treatment was significantly lower than that before treatment, the difference was statistically significant(t=66.061, 546.704,30.312,40.388, t=63.970, P 0.05). There was statistically significant differences in the abdominal pain, abdominal distention disappear time, first defecation time, hospitalization time and treatment costs between the treatment group and the control group,(t=-14.737,-21.902,-11.064, P0.05.)And there was significant difference in the efficacy between the two groups before and after treatment(χ2=8.552, P0.05.Conclusion Traditional Chinese medicine combined with western medicine could improve the clinical symptoms and the total efficiency.
