Abstract
VRG107 gene was amplified by PCR from human liver cDNA library. The tissue expressions of the VRG107 gene were primarily measured by RT-PCR and Northern blot. The result showed that the encoding region sequence of VRG107 was 297 bp; it was the same as that of gastric cancer-related protein VRG107. This gene was widely expressed in the liver, stomach, colon, kidney, breast carcinoma tissues and their corresponding normal tissues. The relative amount of expression was obviously decreased in the hepatoma tissues compared with those in the adjacent tissues(P0. 01). The relative amount of expression was slightly reduced in the colon carcinoma tissues compared with that in the adjacent tissues. VRG107 gene is widely expressed in many tissues, and the expression is decreased in some carcinoma tissues.
