Abstract

[Objective]To investigate the dynamic changes of serum interleukin-6 (IL-6) in patients with acute cerebral infarction (ACI) and its clinical significance.[Methods]The serum level of IL-6 in patients with ACI and 49 healthy subjects was determined. All patients were scored by clinical neurological deficit score (NDS).[Results]The serum level of IL-6 of the ACI group (53.48±16.12) pg/L was higher than that of the normal control group (2.31±0.56) pg/L significantly (P0.01).[Conclusion]There is a close relationship between increase of serum IL-6 and cerebral infarction.
