Random comparative study of Panlongqi on osteoarthritis of knee joint

Objective To analyze the therapeutic effect of Panlongqi pian on osteoarthritis of knee joint.Methods 74 patients with osteoarthritis of knee joint were randomly divided into treatment group and control group.The 37 patients in treatment group were treated with Panlongqi pian;the other 33 patients in control group were treated with diclofenac,with a treatment course of 6 weeks for both groups.The therapeutic effect was evaluated after one treatment course.Results Before treatment there was no significant difference in age,sex and course of disease,the integrals of tenderness,rest pain,walking pain and morning rigidity of the knee joints between treatment group and control group(P0.05),however,after treatment there was a significant difference in the integrals of above functional assessment between the two groups(P0.05),and the short-term effective rate in treatment group was significantly higher than that of control group(P0.05).ConclusionPill of Panlongqi pian is effective in treating osteoarthritis of knee joint.
