Abstract

According to the shape of the river course and the tidal characteristics of the tidal flow at Batangwei in the Pearl River Delta,a navigation channel regulation project is put forward in this paper. Tests show that the tidal power can be used to dredge the waterway and to decrease deposition in the waterway. It is pointed out that the design of the project needs further study.
