Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the IgG anti-A ( B) positive detection rate and clinical significance of pregnant women with O-blood in different age groups and three kinds of pairing mode in couples ABO blood group. METHODS Mi- cro-column gel cards were used for IgG anti-A (B) titer test in the pregnant women with prenatal care in our hospital and the incidence of hemolytic disease of newborn were tracked. RESULTS In the 750 cases of maternal blood type O blood, there were 165 cases whose serum antibody titers ≥ 1 : 64 and the total positive rate was 22.00%. The positive detection rates of pregnant women in husband and wife pair of different blood group were: O-A group 32.55% , O-B group 9.55% , O-AB group 20.00%. O-A group and O-B group (χ2=52.755, P﹤0.05), O-B group and O-AB group (χ2=5.171, P﹤0.05) had statistical difference, while O-A group and O-AB group had no statistical difference (χ2=3.539, P﹥0.05). Different age groups ( 30 years as the community) antibody positive rate of maternal blood group had statistical difference ( χ2=25.894, P﹤0.05). The incidence of hemolytic disease of newborns of the group (1:128 ≥ antibody titer ≥ 1: 64) was 2.19%, the incidence of hemolytic disease of newborns of the group (1:256 ≥ antibody titer ≥ 1:128) was 26.09% and the incidence of hemolytic disease of newborns of the group (antibody titer ≥ 1 : 256) was 80.00%. CONCLUSION The pregnant women with high maternal age in the ABO blood group antibody titer testing are needed particular attention , while couples with blood type incompatibility were more susceptible to OA hemolytic disease of newborn than the blood type match- ing. High antibody titers are more likely to neonatal hemolytic disease and now ABO-HDN has the higher incidence with the increase of antibody titer.
