Abstract
Poetry translation has long been the most active and controversial issue in translation studies.This paper tries to analyze the obstacles in translating poems based on aesthetics and the characteristics of different languages,and thinks that the core of translating poems is to transfer the aesthetic conception.This aim can be achieved by reconstructing an appropriate language form.There should be several versions for a poem to catch the elusive beauty of poetry.
