Abstract
Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Yangyin Huoxue Qufeng Fang( YYHXQFF) combined with external washing of Chinese medicine on acute diabetic skin pruritus. Methods: 78 cases with acute diabetic skin pruritus were randomized into control group( 38 cases) and treatment group( 40 cases). Both groups were given proper antidiabetic drugs while treatment group were additionally given YYHXQFF combined with external washing of Chinese medicine and control group were additionally given cetirizine hydrochloride. Results: After one or two treatment courses,the symptoms scores of treatment group were obviously lower than these of control group( P 0. 05). The effective rate was 97. 5% in treatment group and 73. 7% in control group; treatment group were better than control group( P 0. 05). After the treatment,the levels of fasting and 2-hours-later blood-glucose in treatment group were significantly lower than these in control group( P 0. 05). The differences of the adverse reactions between the two groups had no statistical significance( P 0. 05). Conclusion: YYHXQFF combined with external washing of Chinese medicine has remarkable effect on acute diabetic skin pruritus,which can greatly improve the symptoms and lower blood sugar with pretty good security.
