Abstract
Objective To explore the impact of xinmaitong capsule on blood pressure,blood lipid and hemorheology of patients with hypertension. Methods A total of 120 patients with hypertension were selected in Xuchang Central Hospital from January 2013 to August 2014,and they were divided into observation group and control group according to random number table,each of 60 cases. Patients of control group were treated with simvastatin capsule,while patients of observation group were treated with xinmaitong capsule; both groups consecutively treated for 6 weeks. Blood pressure, blood lipid index and hemodynamic index were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results Before treatment, no statistically significant differences of SBP or DBP was found between the two groups( P 0. 05); after treatment,SBP and DBP of observation group were statistically significantly lower than those of control group( P 0. 05). Before treatment, no statistically significant differences of serum level of TC,TG,or LDL-C was found between the two groups( P 0. 05); after treatment,serum levels of TC,TG,and LDL-C of observation group were statistically significantly lower than those of control group( P 0. 05). Before treatment,no statistically significant differences of whole high shear blood viscosity,whole low shear blood viscosity,plasma viscosity or fibrinogen was found between the two groups( P 0. 05); after treatment,whole high shear blood viscosity, whole low shear blood viscosity, plasma viscosity and fibrinogen of observation group were statistically significantly lower than those of control group( P 0. 05). Conclusion Xinmaitong capsule can reduce the blood pressure,blood lipid index and hemodynamic index of patients with hypertension.
