Investigation and analysis on psychological health condition of poor freshmen of medical college

Objective To evaluate psychological health condition of poor freshmen of medical college,so as to provide scientific gist for psychological health education of poor student.Methods A test was conducted among 470 poor freshmen of 2004 grade in Ningxia Medical College,by using symptom checklist 90(SCL-90).Results The first three mental problem were in order :compulsion,interpersonal sensitivity and depression.There were significant difference between poor freshmen and non-freshmen in the total average score and the score of somatization,compulsion,Interpersonal sensitivity,depression,anxiety,psychotism and other factor.The somatization and depression between poor freshmen and extremely poor freshmen were significantly different.Apart from hostility,the score of the other factors between urban poor freshmen and rural poor freshmen were significantly difference.Apart from interpersonal sensitivity,hostility and paranoid,there were significant difference in the score of other factors among undergraduates,junior colleges students,Secondary specialized school students.Conclusion The freshmen of 2004 grade has more self-evaluate symptoms.
