The Study of Mental Health of Freshmen

Abstract

Adopting the Symptom Checklist 90 self-evaluation form, we conducted a test among 3 364 freshmen of Southwest Normal China University. The result shows that there are 20.1 percent of freshmen scored above 3 on some subscales, which including obsessive, interpersonal sensitivity, depression, paranoid. The difference among freshmen, non-freshmen, and the national adult norm are distinct. There are different mental problems in different sex, specialties and regions.
