Abstract

Along with the computer hardware and software technology developing and the geological mapping technique requirements increasing,the geologists are giving more and more attention to GIS.One of the most important factors is that GIS can provide powerful spatial database and query and analysis functions based on this database.This paper will take the use of MAPGIS in geological mapping as an example to mainly discuss GIS application to geological mapping in geological map database establishment.
