Abstract

Abstrcat Using non-water AlCl_3 as catalyst,N,N-Dicyanoethyl p-methyl aniline was synthesized from p-methyl aniline and acrylonitrile at lower temperature and normal pressure. Each factor of the reaction was studied. The result of the experiments showed that the optimum prosess conditions were as follows:n(p-methyl aniline):n(acrylonitrile)=1∶2.6,the catalyst dosage is 30% of the p-methyl aniline, the reaction temperature is 85℃ and the reaction time for 24h. The yield of the target product is over 89% with the purity over 96%.
