Abstract
Objective To explore the comparability of the results between different instruments in the same laboratory. Methods Forty patients were included. The HCY in serum was detected by ABBOTT I2000 and ABBOTT Axsym separately and the results were studied by correlation coefficient analysis. Results The results showed that the correlation coefficient(r) was 0.9998 and its regression equation was y=0.9846x-0.0443. The expected relative deviations were 1.7% and 1.6% respectively at medical decision level. There was closely correlation between the results from the two different machines. Conclusion When different instruments are used to detect the same project in one lab, the correlation analysis and bias evaluation should be carried out to ensure the comparability and consistency of the different instruments.
