Abstract
[Objective]To compare the safety and efficacy of amiodarone and cedilanid on the treatment of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation.[Methods] 58 patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation caused by cardiovascular diseases were randomly divided into amiodarone group (30 cases) and cedilanid group(28cases); the amioclane group was treated with intravenous transfusion of 5mg/kg of amiodarone for one hour and 0.5~1.0mg/min continuously; the cedilanid group was treated with intravenous injection of 0.4mg of cedilanid; heart rate, blood pressure and ventricular rate were observed.[Results] The total efficacies of amiodarone and cedilanid were 90% and 67.86% respectively with the mean ventricular rate decrease ranges of 43% and 34% respectively; the mean reversion times of the two groups were 41.61±24. 81 and 73.46±36.02 minutes respectively; 2 cases in the amiodarone group were found with sinus bradycardia and were automatically alleviated. [Conclusion] Intravenous transfusion of amiodarone is safe and effective in the treatment of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation.
