Abstract

Objective: To observe the changes of SOD and MDA of bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) and lung specimen in premature rat with chronic lung disease (CLD).Methods: superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity and malondialdehyde (MDA) concentration from lung specimen and BALF in 80 premature rat with hyperoxia-induced CLD and control premature rats were assayed by biochemical method. Results: SOD activity was no significant difference among all groups. MDA level increased from day 3, and reached peak level in day 7,then decreased gradually but still maintained at higher level than control group at day 21.Conclusion: Injury of oxygenic free radical in lung companies with the process of hyperoxia-induced CLD; The level of MDA reacts indirectly lung injury.
