Abstract
The establishment of offshore oil platform will change the hydrodynamic conditions around the platform, among them, the scouring phenomena in the neighborhood of the platform foundation and its connected pipelines and cables will constitute a threat to the safety of platform and submarine pipeline and cable. In this paper, the observed water depth data during 4 cruises and the historical data are used to analyse the scouring process and regularities of offshore oil platform foundation in the Chengdao Oil Field.
