Abstract
Objective:To study the effects of psychological and behavioral intervention on postoperative anxiety and depression of the breast cancer patients.Methods:60 breast cancer patients receiving modified redical mastectomy were randomly divided into the control group and the study group(psychological and be havioral intervention group)(n=30).At the first day after the operation,all patients were evaluated by the Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)and the Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS).Based on the results of evaluation,the patients in the study group were treated with 25-30 min psychological and behavioral interention once a day for 7 days.The patients in the control group received no treatment.At the eighth day after the operation,the patients of both groups were evaluated again.Results:The scores of both SAS and SDS in the study group were significantly lower than that of the control group at the eighth day after the operation.Conclusion:Psychological and behavioral intervention can improve the postoperative anxiety and depression status of the breast cancer patients.
