Abstract

The kojic acid-producing strain Aspergillus flavus CICC 2 242 was mutagenized using UV radiation and N~+ implantation, and its mutant strain A.flavus N83 was obtained. The mutant strain produced kojic acid at 19.4 g/L, which was 56.5%higher than that with A.flavus CICC 2 242 at 12.4 g/L.Moreover,A.flavus N83 showed good genetic stability. The results showed that N~+ implantation was an effective method to generate better kojic acid producer.
