Probe into Creating Classroom-based College English Teaching Model

Abstract

Classroom teaching is a key part in college English teaching.The reform of its model is very important to the improvement of teaching quality.This paper analyzes the functions of classroom teaching and the limitations of the traditional classroom teaching.It studies how to create new classroom-based college English teaching model from five ways: changes in teaching philosophy,implementation of graded teaching,use of the textbook,organization of classroom activities,and changes in teaching means.
