Abstract
Objective To study the effect of GnRHa on ER、PR and EGF-R in uterine leiomyoma. Methods ER、PR and EGF-R in uterine leiomyoma in 13 patients (study group) who had been treated with GnRHa 150μg/d for 3 months before operation were compared with 28 patients (control group) in whom no GnRHa was taken. Results The ER, PR and EGF-R in the GnRHa treated patients were significantly lower than those in the control group. Conclusion In addition to decreasing the ER and PR content, GnRHa can reduce the EGF-R level in leiomyoma. This may be an important therapeutic mechanism of GnRHa.
