Abstract
The degradation of phenol solution by coupling ultrasonic field with photocatalytic oxidation was studied. In the self-made ultrasound-photocatalytic coupling reactor, the effects of ultrasonic conditions and operating parameters on the degradation of phenol were investigated. The result showed that the optimum parameters were as follows: ultrasonic powder 140 W,ultrasonic frequency 45 kHz,the initial concentration of phenol 14 mg·L-1,the dosage of TiO2 2.0 g·L-1,and pH value 9,reaction temperature 42℃.Under such optimum conditions, ultrasonic irradiation could enhance the photocatalytic degradation rate of phenol by 20%.
