Abstract
Maleic anhydride grafted ethylene-octene copolymer (POE-g-MAH) was prepared by melt grafting. The effects of the contents of MAH monomer and initiator (DCP) on the graft ratio of POE-g-MAH were studied, and the optimum contents of MAH and DCP were determined to be 0.10 phr and 2.0 phr respectively. POE-g-MAH with different graft ratio was used to blend with styrene-anitrile copolymer(SAN resin). The results indicated that the notched Izod impact strength of POE-g-MAH /SAN blend increased with the increase of the graft ratio of POE-g-MAH.
