Abstract

Sixty mice were randomly divided into blank control group, model control group and treatment group. The treatment group is fed by 0.5g/kg,1g/kg,2g/kg;blank group and model group are fed with equal volumes of physiological saline fed every day. After 15 days’ irrigation feeding, each mouse was fasted for 16 hours overnight(free water). The model group and treatment group were injected with 1% carbon tetrachloride of celiac by 10mL/kg dose(with plant blend dilution),while the blank group is injected with equal volumes of physiological saline. After modeling for 24h,blood was taken from eyeballs based on kit method. We respectively tested each mouse in the serum of alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspertate aminotransferase(AST) activity, the liver tissue homogenate of malondialdehyde(MDA),super oxide dismutase(T-SOD) level and liver tissue pathology microscopy. The result is as follows: the effect of Prune llavulgaris L.for the treatment groups ALT,AST activity was significantly lower in acute liver damage mice serum when compared with the model group. The treatment group malondialdehyde(MDA) levels of liver homogenate was obviously decreased and super oxide dismutase(T-SOD) activity was increased. And the liver tissue pathology microscopy was close to the blank group. The conclusion is that the water extract of Prunella vulgaris L.for mice acute liver injury of carbon tetrachloride has certainly protective effect.
