On the Evolution of Imperial Bearing and the Formation of Political Patterns in Southern China

As we know,the Changjiang River Valley,like the Yellow River Valley,is the origin of Chinese civilization.However,the center of Chinese politics was along the Yellow River from the pre-Qin times to the times of West and East Han dynasties.In this long period,political powers evolved in the vast area south of the Changjiang River with its endowed geographical advantage.With the decline of the unified empire in central north China during the reign of the state of Wei,the South became the place where feudal civilization developed and inherited civilization of the Central Plains in central north China.The paper focuses on the development and impact of the political forces and the political pattern in southern China during the 400 years or so of the Qin and Han Dynasties.
