Abstract

Biodegradation and removal of pesticide in soil by a bacterial strain (DLL-1) was studied. The characteristics of biodegradation, movement and living of pesticide in surface soil, and the effect of application amounts of bacterial strain (DLL-1) and concentration of pesticide in soil on biodegradation and removal were discussed. The experimental results showed that DLL-1 had strong capacity to remove pesticide residue from soil. DLL-1 could move to surface soil layer (0~6 cm). The degradation rate of pesticide residue was more than 80 % when 30 kg·hm-2 of DLL-1 was added in soil. These results could provide an experimental support to develop bioremediation of pesticide contaminated soil.
