The Determination and Comparison of Nicotine Content in Different Parts of Tobacco

The content of nicotine in different part of leaf and stem of tobacco in Guizhou,Yunnan,Henan and Sichuan were determined directly by oscillopolarography and compared in this paper.The results show that the content of nicotine in upper part of tobacco leaf is the highest,the central part is higher and the lower part is the lowest.The distribution of nicotine in stem of tobacco was also studied,and it was found that nicotine in the central part was the highest and nicotine in the upper was the lowest.The content of nicotine in tobacco leaf is far higher than that of the corresponding stems.
