Abstract

The relation between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law in the traditional Chinese family is subtle and important, which is a focus of literary creation. Its narrative models find expression in the following: 1. Mother acts as father who is absent; 2.Son is feeble and capable.3.Mother is crazy in action and daughter-in-law dies or flees. These works have great significance because they reveal the social, personal and psychological connotations of the given society, especially the existence and puzzlement of the female as well as their ethnic emotions and expressions.
