Clinical Efficacy of Duhuo Jisheng Decoction for Treatment of Knee Degenerative Joint Disease and Its Impact on IL-1 in Knee Joint Fluid

Abstract

Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy of Duhuo Jisheng Decoction for treatment of knee degenerative joint disease,and to analyze its effects on IL- 1 of knee joint fluid. Methods: 120 patients with knee degenerative joint disease were divided into two groups,including the observation group of 60 cases with Duhuo Jisheng Decoction and the control group of 60 patients with conventional western medicine. Results: After treatment,the observation group's overall effective rate was 93. 33%,significantly higher than that of control group and there was a significant difference between the two groups( P 0. 05). The IL- 1 level in the observation group was significantly lower and there was a significant improvement compared with that of control group( P 0. 05). Conclusion: Duhuo Jisheng Decoction for treatment of knee degenerative joint disease can effectively alleviate clinical symptoms,and reduce the patient's knee joint fluid levels of IL- 1.
