Abstract
The spontaneous contraction of isolated humanuterus and the contraction of isolated human andrat uterus induced by oxytocin were markedly inhi-bited by lidocaine at the concentration of 2.6×10~(-4)mmol/ml.The contraction of isolated human uterusinduced by Ca~(2+) after high K~+ depolarization wasinhibited by lidocaine at the concentration of 4.3×10~(-4)mmol/ml.Their depression effect was abolis-hed by addition of Ca~(2+) to the bath fluid.
