Abstract

Effect of La3+ to the activities of antioxidant enzyme in tomato seedling was examined under the UV-C radiation stress in greenhouse. The results showed that the UV-C stress decreased the activities of SOD and POD in tomato seedling leaves and increased the content of membrane lipid peroxidation products MDA.La3+ showed significantly regulatory effects to the activities of SOD and POD in tomato seedling under the UV-C radiation stress.Mean 38.03% SOD activity was increased by La3+,the POD activity 20.43% and the MDA content decreased 18.63% compared with single UV-C stress group, which indicated that La3+ could prevent membrane lipid peroxidation effectively and relieve the damage of cell membrane system to some degree.By comprehensive comparison of various index,30 mg/L LaCl3 had better protective effect than 60 mg/L LaCl3 under UV-C stress.
