Abstract
Hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage is one of the critical diseases in neurological system. In addition to the mass effect of hematoma, the blood brain barrier damage and cerebral edema caused by hematoma components and the secondary nerve damage caused by cerebral edema are the main causes of deterioration and death the cerebral hemorrhage patients.Recent studies suggested that matrix metalloproteinases increased expression after hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage, which participated in and mediated cerebral edema, and the expression and adjustment of which has become the new target for the treatment of cerebral edema.
