Abstract

With acetic acid and ethanol, ethyl acetate was synthesized at the use of the catalyst sodium bisulfate, and related factors were discussed.Through a series of experimental studies the optimum conditions were determined:the acetic acid-alcohol ratio was 1.5:1,the amount of catalyst was 1.0g/0.2mol ethanol, reaction time was 1.5h.In optimum conditions, the yield of product could reach 80.6%.In addition, sodium bisulfate catalyst could be reused several times.Compared with the traditional process, the new synthesis process not only results in the energy saving, emissions reducing and clean production, but also makes the yield of the product increased under the guidance of the policy for the development of circular economy.
