Abstract
Objective To investigate histological distribution of atypical squamous cells of undetermined significance(ASCUS) in cervix diagnosed by using thinprep cytologic test(TPCT).Methods 288 women with ASCUS received biopsy under colposcopy and the pathological results were analyzed. Results Cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN) and cervical carcinoma in situ were identified in 50.7% of the women with ASCUS,of which, the detectable rates of CINⅠ,CINⅡ,CINⅢ and carcinoma in situ were 27.4%,13.9%,8.7% and 0.7% respectively. Conclusion For these women with ASCUS who had symptoms and can't be followed up,biopsy under colposcopy should be performed to find cervical malignancies early.
