Abstract

word gentlemanis in 107 places of The analects of Confucius,of which 84 places are thegentlemansaid by meaning of Confucius' sgentlemanis directly related to interpretation of full text of The analects of Confucius. Confucius' s gentlemanas clues throughout text of The analects of Confuciusreflects profound Confucianism and clarify context of text. Through analysis of gentlemanin 84 places in The analects of Confuciuscould get a summary of a variety of meanings of word gentleman,and help to grasp Confucianism in the analects of Confuciusand reflect value of theory of gentleman.
