Abstract
The mental status and personality characteristics of students in a medical college in Shanxi province were investigated. The result showed that students had psychological problems and some had an unhealthy tendency in personality. Humanism personality theory was used to analyze the reasons and methods were put forward to correct the unhealthy personality. Humanism personality theory is of guiding significance for college students' mental health education.
