Abstract

Objective To study the drug resistance of pseudomonas aeruginosa in respiratory medicine department of our hospital in the last four years. Methods 133 pseudomonas aeruginosa were isolated from lower respiratory tract. The results of their drug resistance were analyzed. Results 65% of pseudomonas aeruginosa were resistant to the second-generation cephalosporins and some third-generation cephalosporins, and sensitive to piperacillin and tazobactam. Conclusion Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection is gradually rising year by year, and they have high rate of resistance. The application of antibiotics shall be based on the results of drug resistivity test and clinical efficacy. We should also pay attention to strengthening wards disinfection and bacterial resistance monitoring.
