The Statistical Measurement Study of Regional Comprehensive Economic Strength

Regional comprehensive economic strength,which reflects the domestic position and the foreign influence of a region,contains five aspects: namely the strength of gross economic scale,the power of economic quality,the ability of economic innovation,the power of economic influence and the potential of economic development.The result of Fuzzy Borda Method indicates that the ranking order of regional comprehensive economic strength for the seven main Chinese cities with GDP being over 500 billion yuan is: Shanghai,Beijing,Shenzhen,Guangzhou,Tianjin,Suzhou,and Chongqing.The result provides the theoretical basis for these cities to position themselves scientifically,and to be clear about their future development direction,in order to increase the regional comprehensive economic strength and ensure the sustainable and steady economic development of the region.
