Abstract
The influence of RE on the mechanical properties of optimized Al-Si casting alloy were investigated.Results show that the influence of RE on the mechanical properties of optimized Al-Si casting alloy are notable.With the increasing of rare-earth element,both of the strength and plasticity of optimized Al-Si casting alloy are improved.But rare-earth elements addition forms a large number AlxV3CuRE compound for improving alloy,so that the mechanical properties of optimized Al-Si casting alloy are decline.
