Abstract

By adding the alloy elements of Cu,Ni,Mn,V and RE into the present Al-Si casting alloys, the optimized Al-Si casting alloys and their thermal fatigue properties were researched. The results show that the integrated mechanical properties of optimized alloys were excellent. Moreover, the optimized alloys have good thermal fatigue properties because the alloys have not irreversible deformations and cracks when the alloys are heated and cooled again and again for 150 hours.
