Study on Translation Domestication and Foreignization from Cultural Interpretation Perspective

Domestication and foreignization are the two basic strategies of translation on which translators have been focusing from different cultural points of view.The essence of translation is cultural communication.To select the trend of basing on the source language culture or the target language culture has a great influence to the direction of the cultural transmission.This paper suggests to select the strategy of foreignization to translate through providing the examples to support its points,and reaches a conclusion that it is efficient to further cultural transmission and has a positive effect on protecting the marginal culture.
