Abstract

Objective To observe the clinical effects of GLUMA desensitizer in treatment of dentin hypersensitivity. Methods A total of 147 patients with dentin hypersensitivity were randomly divided into two groups,74 patients with 215 teeth in treatment group were treated with GLUMA desensitizer, and 73 patients with 186 teeth in control group were treated with 750 g/L sodium fluoride. The immediate effective rate and effective rates after 1-month and 3-month treatments were tested. Results The effective rates of treatment group were significantly higher than those of control group in every period. There were statistically significant differences between the two groups(P0.05).Conclusion GLUMA desensitizer can be used as an ideal treatment for patients with dentin hypersensitivity.
