Abstract
Objective:To observe the effect and SEM features in treatment of hypersensitive dentine between Gluma desensitizer and 75% sodium fluoride glycerine paste.Methods:190 teeth with dentin hypersensitivity clinical syndrome were randomly divided into two groups:the experiment group was treated with Gluma desensitizer, while the control group was treated with 75% sodium fluoride glycerine paste.15 teeth in vitro, whose dentin surface was exposed, were randomly divided into two experiment groups and one control group. Each group included 5 teeth.Group One was treated with Gluma desensitizer, group Two was treated with 75% sodium fluoride glycerine paste,Group Three was normally controlled. These teeth were observed by SEM.Results:It shows that effective rate are 93.64% and 82. 50% respectively,3 months later they are 90.91% and 77.50% respectively,The success rate has significant difference with χ2 - test.It was found by SEM that the dental tubules were effectively obstructed with Gluma desensitizer. Conclusion:Gluma desensitizer has better clinical effect than 75% sodium fluoride glycerine paste used to treat dentin hypersensitivity.
