Evaluation of therapeutic regimens of vulvovaginal candidiasis during pregnancy period

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the curative effect of three therapeutic regimens of vulvovaginal candidiasis,and find the best regimen.METHODS A total of 213 pregnant women with vulvovaginal candidiasis were put into three groups,66 cases in control group were taken clotrimazole for 7days,74 cases in low-dose group were taken canesten for twice,and 73 cases in high-dose group were taken canesten for thrice.Then the treatment effect after 1 week was checked.RESULTS The cure rates of fungi in the three groups were 89.4%,91.9% and 95.9%,respectively,while the effective rates were 95.5%,97.3% and 97.3%,respectively.But there were no significant difference in the three groups.CONCLUSION All the three therapeutic regimens are safe and effective with no significant difference.But the low-dose group has shorter time of therapy and less number of medication,which make it more economic and convenient than other groups.
