Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of propofol combined with remifentanil for surgery anesthesia of elderly patients with hypertension. Methods One hundred senile hypertension patients with cholecystectomy in our hospital from July 2009 to July 2012 were selected and randomly divided into two groups, with 50 cases in each group. Patients in the observation received the propofol combined with remifentanil for the maintenance of anesthesia, while patients in the control group received the propofol for the maintenance of anesthesia. The anesthetic effects were compared between the two groups. Results The excellent and good rate of the observation group was 98.0%(49/50), significantly higher than 84.0%(42/50) of the control group(P 0.05). The extubation time and wake rating of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group(P 0.05). Conclusions Propofol combined with remifentanil has significant effect for surgery anesthesia of elderly patients with hypertension
