The Stylistic Perspective of Fictional Translation

Abstract
The reproduction of stylistic meaning plays an important role in fiction translation. It helps the Target Language readers to understand the style of the original writer, and more importantly, to comprehend the atmosphere, characterization, plot and theme of the original. Therefore, the translator should, on the basis of a thorough analysis of the original stylistic meaning, guided by the basic principle of preserving the original stylistic meaning, choose the most proper linguistic forms in order to fully reproduce the original cultural meaning.
